Ride to Conquer Cancer event

I would like to open this email by thanking ARIDO for making me an Honourary member of the Association this past March. As one of the highest honours that the Association can bestow on an individual, it meant a lot to me to receive this recognition. Thank you to everyone in the industry for your continued support.

Next month I want to give back to the community and participate in the Ride to Conquer Cancer. It is my hope that my ride will help raise funds and awareness for the battle against cancer.

THE RIDE TO CONQUER CANCER is a unique event in Canadian fundraising - a 200 km bike ride from Toronto to Niagara Falls. The monies raised directly to support vital research at Princess Margaret Hospital. Princess Margaret is regarded as one of the top five research facilities in the world, and the pledges brought in by over 3,000 riders will be used to help conquer cancer in our lifetime.

Cancer is the number 1 killer in Canada, and each and every one of us has been touched in one way or another by this horrible disease.

The dates for the Ride are June 13 and 14, 2009. We will leave from the Exhibition Grounds in Toronto. I have set a personal goal to raise $ 15000 and I would ask for your support to help me achieve this aggressive objective. Very few of us have ever ridden this distance. It requires a lot of training, so I am taking the challenge very seriously. I hope you will partner with me for this worthy cause.
